Why are British troops in Afghanistan an Iraq?
Oh dear, how many times must this be asked on YA before it is laid to rest. We are there because we have to stop the Taliban and al Qaeda from using these 2 countries as bases for attacking us in the west. We are taking the fight to them instead of waiting for them to come to us, as in 9/11 and 7/7. Yes, Blair lied about Iraq and got us involved for the wrong reasons. But having toppled law and order there, we can’t very well leave it and let al Qaeda move into the power vacuum. The work of the Crusaders will never be finished. We need to keep going on without flagging.
