One of the unique features of New Zealand Brushtail & Vegetables canned food is that the whole Brushtail (excluding the skin, fur and gut) is used. This means the food is very similar to what a dog would eat in the wild, containing bones rich in Calcium. While most of the bones breakdown completely in cooking process, there are occasions where pea-sized bone fragments are found in the food. They are safe to consume and are a rich source of natural calcium. In the Venison & Avocado canned food, only meat excluding bone is used.
