Why are bodily fluids so dangerous to clean up?
Human body fluids can contain pathogenic microorganisms that can cause disease in humans such as, but not limited to, Hepatitis HBV, HCV, HIV, MRSA, and other blood borne pathogens and infectious diseases, for some of which there is no known cure. Human body fluids are also excellent breeding grounds for harmful germs and bacteria. Fluids that may have been safe in the body could have developed something dangerous outside of the body. Just because body fluids have become dry, does not mean they are safe. Some germs and viruses are active months after the body fluids have become dry. Also, coming into contact with or breathing dried blood dust or flakes can be harmful.
