One of the reasons Unilever (the parent company of Streets) changed their packaging was due to a request by the Federal Government under the new National Packaging Covenant that states that all industries should show focus on environmentally friendlier packaging materials. Streets produce around 7 million tubs per year of the old non-recyclable PET plastic and our mission was to achieve a tub that was able to be recycled.
