Blacks banded together so that they would have a safe haven to express their concerns and so they could pour all of their resources into one collective organization that would represent their interests in a white dominated world. You can’t blame them for doing this. However in the year 2010, the face of America is changing very quickly, and the power structure is as well. The old notion of “white privilege,” which at one point most certainly existed, is not necessarily the case today. Many whites, like blacks back then, are feeling marginalized and demonized because of their race, and that there are not many places where they can express their concerns in a safe envirnment that promotes their interests.
