Why are big farms better than small organic farms?
They are not better. Big farms with mono crops destroy the land with the constant tilling and planting, it depletes the soil to DUST BOWL conditions. These farmers constantly need to mortgage from a bank to buy more acres to plant, because their own acreage is going barren fast. They need million in loans for larger Equipment to handle MORE acres efficiently, water is at a premium, chemical sprays are necessary. Why, because with out bio-diversity there are no beneficial organisms to help hold disease, fungus, insect invasions at bay. So chemicals are a MUST! Sorry kiddo, there is NO excuse for these Mega farms to exist, they are the pesticide,water guzzling , giant destroyers of the nation. Honey , you picked the wrong side of the argument!
