Why are apple computers are expensive than those from acer, hp, dell, gateways?
Apple computers are made of quality components. The midlevel Mac costs $1500. Before I made the switch and starting using Macs, I bought all my computers from a friend who owns his owned store building computers. Larry insisted on using only the best components. Macs are more expensive than those PCs you see in the chain stores for the same reason a BMW is more expensive than a Yugo. The guy who said Macs have a growing virus threat should rethink his statement. There were over 500 viruses for the Mac ten years ago with OS 9 and 5% of the user base. Today there are less than 15 viruses for OS X and 10% of the user base.
