Many times in the Old Testament people worshipped and praised God with harps, lyres, timbrels, flutes, and trumpets and in the Book of Revelation at the end of the Bible, the Heavenly Beings were given harps and trumpets. This is probably why angels are so often portrayed with musical instruments.
