The Alberta Electric System Operator (AES0) has directed AltaLink and EPCOR to complete a Facility Application, which includes potential routes for the new transmission line. While the routing is yet to be determined, the transmission line could potentially lie in the operating areas of AltaLink and EPCOR. Therefore, both companies are working together on all aspects of development. These aspects include agricultural, residential, environmental, cost, electrical, and visual factors, as well as route recommendation and public consultation.
