Why Are Almost 25 Percent of American School Children Experiencing Learning Difficulties?
Nearly all learning in school is based on the ability to read well, with good comprehension. Reading disabilities, therefore, is one of the most serious learning difficulties of grade-school children. When a child seems unable to learn to read, he cannot do well academically. It is understandable that a child’s difficulties in learning to read worry his parents, and that, consequently, they will make all sorts of well-meant but untimely damaging efforts to get their children to read.
