Why are all the pill identification questions rated way down?
They shouldn’t be. When I first came to Answerbag I was foolish enough to think that the pill questions were generally from kids experimenting with prescription medication. (My personal bias from working with teens who have engaged in this type of behavior). It took a few “regulars” to remind me that there are a few retired members who occasionally lose, misplace or drop medication and because of drug interactions, need to know which pill they have found. (some are undamaged and to expensive to toss) Now, I use two med books and a few websites to help search for meds. some, I can find others are more difficult to identify.
K-Dawwg is right! If you’ve ever lived with an addict, you know that they grab pills anywhere they can and then try to figure out what they are, or just take them, they usually don’t care. The only problem is, if you are a parent and you find a bottle of different pills in your childs room. You try to find out what your child is taking, the only way you can, by asking other people. You only want to help your child, but it sounds like you are just another teen that went to one of those parties where everyone dumps pills in a big jar, and everyone just takes what they want. So, to be on the safe side, we just don’t answer. I don’t rate down, I just don’t answer.
