Why and where did Florence Nightingale go to nurse soldiers who were wounded in the Crimean war?
Reporters called War correspondents worked for newspapers and wrote that injured and wounded soldiers were treated badly after coming away from the field of battle. This inspired Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole, and others to go and work as nurses in a hospital in Scutari. Soldiers were taken from the Crimea to this hospital. Later on this led to the introduction of modern nursing methods.
