Why and how long does a stock stay in the RealTime Radar?
Once a combination of standard deviations in multiple variables is detected, the stock appears in the Hottrend RealTime Radar. The greater the magnitude of the aggregated standard deviations, the longer the stock stays in the RealTime Radar. Once a stock is in the RealTime Radar, its standard deviation thresholds are adjusted, becoming less demanding — this is done to keep the RealTime Radar from being too volatile. So for example a stock may enter the RealTime Radar because its trade volume is at 1.50 SD, but if it falls to 1.30 SD in the next minute. For now, it remains in the RealTime Radar.
