Why an Invader ZIM convention?
The promoters of InvaderCON (Green Mustard Entertainment) helped run another convention called JACON in Orlando, Florida. For the last two years (2008 & 2009) JACON invited Richard Horvitz, the voice of ZIM, as a guest. The idea of doing an entire event themed around Invader ZIM started, quite honestly, as a few of the staff joking around… and then (thanks to the power of Facebook and Twitter) we learned that there were still very many fans of Jhonen’s inventive and creative show. Thus the decision was made to do a one time celebration on the exact weekend the show premiered ten years later.
