Why am I prompted every time I first use Jaws PDF Creator macro to save changes to the Normal.dot?

(Applies only to v3.61. See below **) If you use the option in Microsoft Word to “prompt to save Normal template”, then you will see this prompt. Our macro, in version 3.0, ‘refreshes’ the toolbar button each time Word loads (which ensures our button appears correctly and with our own icon each session). When it does this, it needs to update normal.dot (which contains, among other things, toolbar layout information). We have 2 resolves: 1] Turn off the ‘prompt to save Normal template’ option in Word under Tools > Options > ‘Save’ tab. But if you want to be prompted about changes to the Normal template, then here is another alternative: 2} Rename the PDFMacroUtils.dll. If the dll is renamed or deleted, then the toolbar icon will not appear. But if you like the simplicity of click and the macro runs then we suggest you record a new macro, make it a toolbar item and make the macro run the Jaws PDF Creator macro. This proves to be a good alternative. This issue will be resolved in the next
