Why am I not hearing sound on my iPod/iPhone speaker?
When we encounter sound playback problems, it is generally one of two things: • If using an iPhone, make sure it isn’t in silent/vibrate mode (the switch by the volume buttons flipped back). The application respects that setting and will not emit sound with the speaker with that set – sound will continue to play through the headphones, however. Not all applications respect that setting, so other apps may still be using the speaker even if iSamJackson isn’t. • Sometimes iPhones/iPods get confused about whether or not headphones are plugged in. When this happens, the device will try to output sound to the headphone jack even when it is not in use. If you have verified your phone is not set to silent/vibrate, this is the next likely situation. To fix this, try repeatedly plugging in some headphones until the device starts to behave itself.
