This probably means that your Mylyn download version didn’t match your Eclipse download version. Note that the download site has different downloads for Eclipse 3.1 and Eclipse 3.2. To fix this problem, see the uninstallation guide, then re-install from the correct download site. Why am I getting messages in my /.metadata/.log or my Mylyn view that say things like “java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.eclipse.mylyn.internal.context.core.InteractionContextManager.getScalingFactors()”? This could mean that some of your Mylyn plugins are on different versions. Use the update manager (“Search for new features to install…”) to obtain the latest versions of the Mylyn features.
