Why am I getting a “reserved domain” error when attempting to set up a new personal Windows Live ID using my u.washington.edu or uw.edu address?
The University of Washington has reserved the u.washington.edu and uw.edu domains with Microsoft for use with our UW Windows Live services. If you would like to sign up for a Windows Live ID with a UW email address but not use the UW Windows Live services, you can use your @washington.edu address.
