Why am I forced to use SSL for my UVa Gmail connection?
Using SSL for your UVa Gmail connection provides better security for your UVa Gmail session. But if you are using any of the following optional Google services, the SSL connection may cause them to work incorrectly. Fixes are outlined below: • Gmail Notifier, an optional application that alerts you whenever you have new Gmail messages Fix: Download a patch from Google. • Gmail for Mobile, to access Gmail and other Google tools from your mobile phone or device Fix: Upgrade if you have an older version, available from Google. • Google Toolbar, which integrates into your Web browser and gives you quick access to Gmail and other Google tools Fix: No fix currently available; you may experience problems with the “Send to” feature of the Toolbar.
