Why am i being charged with an additional fees from WorldPay using my credit card other than paying for the product and shipping costs?
A25: Visa and MasterCard have imposed a foreign transaction fee on online transactions. MasterCard has imposed this in October 2005. This fee will apply for transactions where the shopper and the merchant are in different countries. The foreign transaction fee is usually between 1-3% of the transaction value. Some card issuers may choose to absorb the charge and some pass it down to the cardholders. You would need to advise the customer to check with her card issuing bank of the additional fees which she was charged.
