Why am I being charged a 2.65% convenience fee for online credit card payments?

Credit card payments for tuition and fees can no longer be made in person. When paying on-line, a non-refundable convenience fee of 2.65% will be charged to your account in addition to your tuition and fees. The change in the way credit and debit card payments are accepted is due to a CUNY-wide change in the payment procedure required to offset the costs imposed on CUNY by credit card processing companies. The 2.65% convenience fee is collected by the Universitys paying agent for processing your transactions. Brooklyn College does not receive any portion of the fee.
