It is possible that your dependent did not present their Military Identification Card. You or the dependent must contact the appropriate hospital medical accounts office to ensure they have record of the dependent’s benefits. It may be necessary for the sponsor to contact a local base, Pass and Identification Office, to ensure the dependent is properly enrolled under the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reports System through Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System. The hospital will determine if an adjustment to the billed rate is justified, and will then notify us of any changes. In the meantime, payment arrangements must be made to satisfy the debt. If an overpayment is received on the account, those funds will be returned to you.
