Why all the support for legalizing marijuana?

First off, I don’t know if you have noticed but the economy has gone south in the last year or so and legalizing marijuana could stimulate the economy and save alot of people money. Second, marijuana is not addicting. With a little more research, you would know this. The reason most people dont stop smoking it is because they are extremely obsessed with the high that is given to them when they smoke it and it gives them downright happiness and a worry free feeling. Third of all, do not think I am supporting it becuase I am a “stoner” because I am not. I am happy to declare that I am a smoke free person and have never, nor will I ever, smoke pot in my life.

First off, please read this. Marijuana, as found in a Harvard University study, can help to reduce the size of lung tumors. Get your facts straight. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/04/070417193338.htm Second, not everyone who pushes marijuana to be legalized is a stoner who just wants to smoke legally. Sure, some are. However, marijana is used medically in many ways. For people with glaucoma, it can help to relieve the pain they have in their eyes. For cancer patients, it helps to relieve the nausea caused by the chemotherapy. How do I know this? My father has glaucoma-his doctor told him it would help. My aunt has cancer-the doctor told her it would help. In both cases, it did, so i know how helpful it can be medically. Nobody is discriminating against you drug-free people. Are any of these “stoners” forcing you to smoke marijuana? Doubt it. So don’t force them to stop doing something they enjoy. Quit making assumptions about people. And lastly, get your facts straight.

Increased drug taking is a sign of the times just prior to Jesus second coming to set up His kingdom on earth. Revelation 9:20-“But the rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues(Note-this is during the tribulation period post rapture of the church to Heaven-refering to what is happening on earth to those left behind),did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone and wood, which can neither see nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders,or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts”. Note the Greek word for ‘sorcery’ is pharmacia-which actually means “drug-taking”,not sorceries. Revelation 21:8 also mentions the word ‘sorceries'(really drug-taking),and shows that God is displeased with it,and reveals His coming judgment on those who won’t repent of this and other sins. Legalizing marijuana is an indicator that unrepentant man will tolerate and often embrace this sin themselves.

Do you just make up your “facts”? There is NO medical evidence of anyone ever getting lung cancer from pot. It is the nicotine in tobacco that is a carcinogen. There is NO nicotine in pot. Pot is not physically addictive, there are absolutely no withdrawl symptoms from stopping the use of pot. It is FAR less harmful than alcohol. Alcohol kills, you can die from alcohol poisoning, you can smoke pot all day and never overdose. I have suffered from Tourette’s syndrome for 44 years now and the best medication I have EVER found is marijuana. It suppresses my tics, and also works wonders for the clinical depression associated with my condition. My body is in constant pain from the way that Tourette’s makes my muscles contort and marijuana helps tremendously. The only other alternative to weed for my pain would be codeine, which is highly addictive, destroys your liver and impairs people to the point where you can’t drive or work. Used responsibly marijuana is excellent medication, and is a s
