0

Post WW II era was the time when Indian Independence movements reached its zenith. It took the form of overall and voilent mass uprising and spiralled out of control from the grip of non-violent Gandhi. The revolt of Indian Naval Staff was also a big blow to the British. The communal voilence between Hindus and Muslims also created a civil war like situation which the British failed to control. But that was not all. The British economy was in tremendous crisis after the war and they simply didn’t hve enough money and army to run a colony. That’s why after the war, British not only lost India but also other colonies very quickly.
