because it has been tried, look up prohibition in america, it only caused more people to drink, more illegal activity, mobs, gangs, killings all over alcohol, at least now the deaths from alcohol are just from stupid people drinking too much, people with no self control that claim they have a “disease” that when they have one beer they flip out and drink a whole keg, and from other long term diseases from drinking too much over a long period of time. without fermentation there will be no civilization… if everyone would just think for a sec there wouldnt be so many problems, but banning it is absolutely NOT the solution.
