Why adults working with children should understand the importance of health and safety?
I think the reason you’re not having any luck getting responses to your question might be because the answers are so obvious, people are having difficulty believing you’re asking the question. First of all children depend on adults to make judgments that are in their best interest because they themselves lack the experience, training and overall intelligence to recognize what’s dangerous and what isn’t. Second, in order to function as a society at our best we have to provide young people with good examples of taking care of ourselves and those around us. Third, on a purely mercenary note, if they didn’t exercise good judgment in providing a safe and healthy atmosphere for children they leaving themselves open to litigation that would definitely not be in their best interest.
