Why Adjust Video Acceleration?
Virtually all video cards and integrated video use some form of video acceleration to speed up screen display and refresh in both games and business applications. If your screen is frequently corrupted, the area of the screen under the mouse pointer is corrupted, you have problems playing 3D games or your system crashes frequently, adjust video acceleration as a short-term way to keep working until you can make other changes to your system. The following steps are for Windows XP (other versions are similar).
