Why acute cholecystitis disease appear during pregnancy?
A lot of times it is caused by an increase in estrogen levels. When you have a increase in estrogen it can decrease gallbladder movement. Also with pregnancy the risk for cholesterol gallstones increases because the bile contains more cholesterol during pregnancy, so the gallbladder cannot contract as it normally would.
