Why absolute power corrupts absolutely?

0

If you have no power then you have no influence, so are unable to corrupt. The more power you hold, the more able you are to abuse that power for you own ends (thereby corrupting that power). It’s like a sliding scale, and at the end is absolute power and absolute corruption. If you are the only one to hold power that is corruption in itself. The interesting thing is that religious people claim their God has absolute power, and that must imply that God is absolutely corrupt. What a paradox.

Absolute Power does….because without a varying opinion and/or discussion, everything goes one way and therefore corrupts.
