Why a radical ecology is necessary?

0

Radical ecology or deep ecology in the English-speaking countries does not mingle nature with man environment, because man is only an animal species among others inside the global ecosystem. Radical ecology therefore does not favour sustainable development nor reasonable agriculture. Radical ecology does not try to find a middle term between the needs of productivism and nature, because it does not exist. Radical ecology aim is not to slow down the world destruction but to stop it. Contrary to the superficial ecology (environmentalism), radical ecology want to treat the problems at their roots (from the Latin radicalis, pertaining to roots), in theirs causes and does not try to smooth down their effects. For example, it is not trying to find the best way to fight the oil slicks but to end with energy modes that are harmful to the planet. Half ways and middle terms are not our line. Any arrangement that lies in surrendering a part of what we want to protect will lead to a slow defeat. A
