HOW IS A PORT AUTHORITY FUNDED? • The Medina County Port Authority has NO authority to issue debt. • Appropriations from the creating entities. • Economic development finance fees. WHAT A PORT AUTHORITY IS NOT • Not a non-profit agency. • Not a government agency. • Not part of the county or city governmental structure, but a separate political subdivision.
