Why a landscape plan?
Princeton’s campus, considered one of the most beautiful in the world, is the legacy of more than a century of thoughtful collaboration between the administration, architects, and landscape architects. As the campus continues to grow, the landscape plan will enable Princeton to highlight and protect the unique qualities of its historic campus, to encourage the efficient use of space and movement, to introduce principles of landscape sustainability, to enable growth in a manner that protects the integrity of the campus landscape, and to renew and continue practices begun by the founders and earlier landscape planners.
