Biological activated fixed film plants offer increased efficiency for size over activated sludge plants. The multiple three-box treatment system of the BAFF design allows the system to deal with some wastes that in normal circumstances would never be treated by a Biological plant. This is because the EnviroBAFF system is designed for industrial waste with higher COD BOD ratios than possible in other types of plant.
