Whose theory did Galileos discovery of heliocentric Earth support?

I don’t think that Galileo, or anybody, “discovered” the heliocentric Earth. What Galileo saw was better observations of the moon and planets. He then argued that the heliocentric theory was a better explanation for these observations than the old Ptolemaic theory. The heliocentric theory had been mostly developed by Copernicus, working from ideas from earlier people.
