We track insemination outcomes on an ongoing basis as a way to measure our effectiveness and to provide information to our recipients. Tracking the outcome of each conception attempt is crucial for maintaining our limit of no more than 10 families per donor. Knowing the outcome of each insemination also ensures that all youth conceived from donors in our Identity-Release Program have access to their donor information when they reach age 18. Reported births Since our inception in 1982, 1900 children have been born to TSBC recipients. Slightly more than half of these children (51%) are boys. We recently compiled data on the conceptions and births that TSBC recipients reported for 2005 (we wait a full year to include as many reports for this time period as possible). During 2005, 127 children were born to TSBC recipients who conceived using program donors. Almost 75% of these children are offspring of donors participating in our Identity-Release Program.
