Whos better Patrick Roy or Marty Broduer?
They have both proven they can win when it counts, most experts picked Roy because of his early success with a Montreal team that had no business winning the Cup that year. He followed that up with a great run with a great team in Colorado and retired with record numbers which in the next 5 years or so Marty Brodeur will pass so different players can be the best for a time but all records are there to break , Brodeur and Roy are just the latest. If I was to clone either of these 2, I would take Marty and no big diss on Roy but his style worked for him, I always thought there was more luck at times but since Roy made a career out of what he did, I’ll give him some credit. Brodeur, on the other hand is a throwback to the style of Johnny Bower, Glenn Hall and never had the offensive support in New Jersey like Roy had in Colorado. Marty gets my nod here.
