Who wrote the Urantia Book?
The authors are a collection of celestial beings, also referred to as revelators. They give their identity at the end of each paper. These papers were transmitted through an individual in Chicago during the years 1934 and 1935. It is said that this happened during his sleep and that when he awoke he was totally unaware of what had transpired. It was mandated his identity be kept a secret because he was simply a conduit for the information. It was the message that was important, not the messenger. This individual came to the attention of Dr. William Sadler, a noted psychiatrist, who was a renown investigator of paranormal events. Unlike other unusual events which he was able to uncover fraud, with this particular event he could not and, therefore, began to take a great interest in the material being transmitted.
