Jeremiah wrote 1st and 2nd Kings, Lamentations, and Jeremiah. Ezra wrote Ezra and 1st and 2nd Chronicles. Mordecai wrote Esther. The sons of Korah, Asaph, Ethan, Heman, and Solomon each wrote part of Psalms. David wrote the majority of the Psalms. Solomon wrote Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, amd part of Proberbs. Agur and Lemuel wrote the rest of the Proverbs. Nehemiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi each wrote a book with their name as the name of the book. The Old Testament was written by many different authors, but it was compiled by Ezra and Nehemiah (so far as we know). Some say they edited the whole of the Old Testament. No, most of the books were written as stories, without claiming direct inspiration by God, although many of the prophets claim to quote God ad verbiam. “2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God ” You quoted the Bible to prove the Bible is true. That’s just dumb.

Of course, but the Old Testament is more of a history written to glorify a particular group of people, the Hebrews, rather than a compilation of stories designed to market a new religion.
