Who writes the music/lyrics in Dethroned today?
Up to this point I have written 99% of the musical material we have. And Dave and I mostly work on the lyrics, with a little help from Kyle Spanswick as well. But Than and Rick are contributing to the full length for sure both musically and lyrically. They have been in the band long enough to develop the style and it’s great having some new material brought in from them. Your first release is due out soon. It will be a split CD with some unreleased Excommunion stuff. What can you say about this release? Well, we wanted to release an EP for the purpose of sending out to record labels. But we wanted a nice packaging to send and not some promo CDr with a xeroxed sleeve you know? Then a few smaller labels contacted us about doing other splits and stuff, so we held off on the EP for this reason.
