Cruelty? Action? Violence? Sure. That’s pretty much what the second chapter of Slaughterhouse Five is about. Weapons, death, fighting- you name it. It’s all in here. It’s one of those chapters that keep your eyes glued to the pages, because there’s so much going on all at the same time. It’s that feeling you get when you want to keep on reading because you need to know what’s going to happen next. The narrator’s style of writing gives you this heart pounding and anticipating experience. Chapter two is the best chapter, because within it, we are introduced to a memorable new character and the imagery that is used leaves readers in awe.
