I’m going to presume you’re not being as stupid as to ask about WWII. Given the current geopolitical landscape of alliances, the two main sides would be NATO and the western-friendly powers (e.g. Japan, Australia & South Korea) vs. The Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (comprising of China, Russia and most of Central Asia aside of India and Mongolia). The battle lines thus drawn, the outcome would hinge on which side could gather the greatest support with regard to military power and population. The greatest of which would be India (traditionally wishing to retain its strategic independence), with its rapidly growing economy and large army. Given the large amount of nuclear material on both sides (Russia’s ageing yet large, present and potent deterrent and the arsenal of the US) we can state that it would either have a massive civilian casualty count as the two side nuked cities willy-nilly or, the more likely outcome that the war was fought away from both of the allies sovereign terr
