Who would walk around with that Olympic logo on a T shirt?
Sir: I’ve waited a day or two before casting my aspersions on that dreadful logo for the Olympics, and it still looks risible. For the co-founder of the firm that “designed” it (a loose term if ever there was one) to accuse the detractors of being comfortable and lazy in their prejudice against something “new” is really laughable. To pay £400,000 for something that looks like a 1970s TV show logo, patronisingly trying to appeal to “young people” at the expense of good taste, is scandalous. It may not be the greatest piece of design, but I doubt anyone could produce a logo that would keep everyone happy.
