I don’t know, while I agree that we need to see a variety of sized models in magazines I don’t think it needs to change altogether. Admittedly size 16 is the average size in England but this doesn’t make it healthy, obesity is growing largely in England and it’s not healthy for us to advertise it as a positive thing. It’s dangerous to be too big, it is also dangerous to be too thin. Everything depends on what sort of magazine you’re looking at, in magazines such as vogue the models are scarily thin but they’re not attractive, they’re only that thin so that the clothes look right, it’s easier to dress a thin model. It’s about the clothes not the models in those magazines.
