Who would (Hypothetically) US Rangers vs. British S.A.S.?

0

SAS are primarilytrained as a counter terrorism force while US Army Rangers are trained more in Force on Force operations. These are two very different things, as are the methods to train for them. An equal number of Rangers would have a definite edge in this battle. If SAS training and tactics were the best for all reasons, would it not make sense for all British forces to be trained in the same manner? British forces being the best trained in the world may have been true a long time ago, but all the wishing in the world won’t bring that back. They are underfunded and over controlled by a soft public opinion. American forces are better funded, better trained, and much more experienced in this day and age. For evidence of this, look at the decline of the British empire. Britain lost its ability to project itself militarily many years ago. Britain will not go to war unless the US is there to hold their hand, and the US won’t go to war unless Britain puts in a meager hand to make it all
