Who would assist the President and V-P in leading the operation of ASMSU?
Six Secretaries would assist the President and Vice President in the operations of the Student Senate and ASMSU. The Student Senate would directly elect all six Secretaries. The Secretary for External Affairs would have duties similar to the current Student Assembly External Vice-Chairperson. This officer would oversee the ASMSU Executive Staff (legislative and community affairs) and serve as primary liaison between ASMSU and local, state, and federal policy makers. The responsibilities of the Secretary for University Affairs would be similar to those of the current Academic Assembly External Vice-Chairperson. Duties would include appointments to Academic Governance committees and other university committees and serving as the primary liaison between ASMSU and university officials.
