Sentenasi-America did not lose city after city in the 1974 to 1975 time frame when South Vietnam fell; the last American combat troops left in late 1972 and the US provided air support after that time so the South Vietnamese lost city after city to be correct about it. The US withdrew it’s combat troops in accordance with the Paris Peace Accords with the further conditions that the North Vietnamese would do the same and not invade South Vietnam and had another agreement with the South Vietnamese that if the NVA did broke the treaty the US would put combat troops back in and protect the South; both the US and North Vietnam broke the treaty as the North did invade and we did not send combat troops back in as we had agreed to do.
