Who will the four remaining Dallas ISD 5A schools be grouped with?

The hunch is the three Richardson ISD 5A schools – Berkner, Lake Highlands and Richardson – will be paired with Molina, Skyline, Sunset and W.T. White. Richardson AD Bob Dubey has let it be known his district would not object to such a pairing. Some districts would not want to deal with DISD’s scheduling issues because of the many games it plays on Thursdays and Saturdays. Also, last fall, the UIL Legislative Council heard a presentation from Richardson High parents who were upset about having to compete with the much larger schools in Plano and Allen. Putting Richardson ISD with DISD solves that problem. The three Irving ISD schools could also be paired with the four DISD 5As. There’s also the possibility of some combination of DISD and the three Mesquite 5A schools, the two Tyler 5As or the southern Dallas Country trio of Cedar Hill, DeSoto and Duncanville. Will Garland Lakeview and South Garland drop to 4A? Both schools could end up with 4A numbers, but Garland officials are confide
