Who will teach Braille reading and writing to my child?
The person who will teach your child Braille reading and writing will be a Teacher of the Visually Impaired or a TVI. A TVI is specifically trained in teaching Braille and other visual impairment related skills. These skills include Daily Living Skills, Advocacy, Listening Skills, Assistive Technology Skills (including keyboarding), Abacus, and Study Skills (for example, reading maps and graphs).
