Who will sell hybrid solar lighting (HSL) systems, and when will they be commercially available?
Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is currently considering a number of interested private industry partners seeking rights to commercialize its HSL technology. Although the final commercialization schedule has not yet been established, we anticipate “alpha” testing of proof-of-concept prototypes to continue through 2004. “Beta” demonstration sites are likely to come on line in 2004 and 2005, and we anticipate that commercial products will be available some time in 2005 or 2006.
