Anthony Ingargiola, who went door-to-door recently near 17th and Wallace streets, is pushing hard to take advantage of the first opening in the 195th District in a generation. “I almost have to forget what I know about who’s a likely voter,” says Ingargiola, who is running for state representative against Michelle Brownlee, a longtime staffer of current state Rep. Frank Oliver. When Oliver announced last spring that he would not be running for re-election, after 37 years in office, he made it known that he wanted Brownlee to succeed him in the seat. Brownlee has worked in Oliver’s office almost since the start of his career, and she has the support of the Democratic City Committee and local ward leaders, including Councilman-At-Large Bill Greenlee.
